haha i did this at school
ahhhhh i dont know why but that image of the spiky fluid gives me the chills.
effin amazing!!!
Really interesting, i thought you would have to destroy the magnet and mix hit with the fluid, but no, its easy as hell to make this nice experiment!
I have seen video of Ferro Fluid before bud had no idea it was this easy to make. Very cool ! Thanks for posting !!!
@GSol17 No… the ferrofluid is trying to follow the lines of the magnetic field that the magnet is creating around itself. The problem is.. gravity is too strong on Earth for that to happen correctly, therefor it is only able to make little spikes like that. We can suppose that in a lightweight environment, the lines of the magnetic field would draw out perfectly.
@bangbangboys09 LMAO
dont ever do this!! Just watch the movie and be amazed. I tried it and made a giant freaking mess with cups and spoons and it took like half an hour to do. AND IT DIDN”T EVEN WORK FOR ME! -_-
Who will clean THE F*****G TABLE ?
@bangbangboys09 xaxaxxa why?
@airows123 this is relevant to my intrests
that is soo cool
that has to be one of the coolest things i have ever seen
dude you just made me grounded for 2 weeks
@fskhadbfihgabdfykb The spikes are the magnetic field from that pole of the magnet. The field is even more exaggerated than you can see in the ferro fluid, but gravity and surface tension of the fluid keep it from fully holding to the true shape the the field. Before ferro fluid was popular, people used powdered metal filings and stuck magnets in them. You can really see the true shape of the magnetic field when you do that.
I will use it as a ferro fluid back scratcher.
ohhhh man i need to make \ create one of these sooo cool
@GSol17 wrong.
@Briteeesh Simple, the liquid is trying to get as far away from the magnet as possible but its a liquid so it can’t go to far.
FUCKING MAGNETS
how do they work
@fskhadbfihgabdfykb You’d expect being a video for ‘Scientific Tuesday’ that there’d be an explanation..
It’s a liquid Sonic the Hedgehog!
why does it spike out like that ?
just like venom
Thats sicccckkkk
i want one lol
